Description

SW TCEs focus on enabling external customers to be successful with Intel platforms through use of
Intel Software Technology and Products. This is done through technical support help, training/evangelizing,
and in some cases working hand-in-hand with the customer and their applications. TCEs participate in
collecting and analyzing customer requirements that feed into the marketing driven product planning process.
The difference from an Application Engineer (AE), however, is that TCEs are focused on enabling the use of

regardless of the tools used.

In this position, as part of the Performance Client and Visual Computing (PCV) team in the Intel Developer
Products Division, your primary responsibility is to help software developers create high-performance C++/Java
applications for Android with Intel INDE that run on ARM and run best on Intel architecture-based devices.
The successful candidate should have knowledge of multi-media software and general software development skills.
Knowledge of various media frameworks, GPU programming, optimization techniques, parallelization,
and/or knowledge of Intel architecture preferred.

As a customer-facing representative, the Technical Consulting Engineer (TCE) candidate must have
superior communications skills both written and verbal. The TCE works directly with customers on a daily basis
and therefore must have the ability to work with people one-to-one to understand and resolve problems.
We are willing to train the right candidate - communication skills and interpersonal skills are key.

Behavioral traits for this position include:

o       Interpersonal skills
o       Strong collaboration, written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

o       Experience with video processing, ideally via codec or video application development
o       Experience with developing applications for multiple OSes including Windows, Linux, and Android platforms
o       Experience with performance tuning
o       Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, be creative and innovative
o       Customer facing experience is highly desirable
