Software Developer
The Role:
Energy GPS LLC is seeking a Software Developer with multiple
programming languages and relational database experience. You will
help our team with data warehousing, data transformation, and
developing models and reports for our end-users. We seek an individual
who is highly motivated to learn new products and languages, work with
multiple development platforms, and able to thrive in a dynamic work
environment where you juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
This person will work closely with Energy GPS’Chief Technology
Officer, helping the company expand its existing IT infrastructure and
product line.
Targeted Core Competencies:
Two or more years of experience with the following:
-Proficient reading and understanding code. Prefer knowledge of
Microsoft.NET platform which includes C#, VB.NET, Linq, ASP.NET,
ASP.NET MVC, and WCF.
-Database development experience (Microsoft SQL Server / Oracle) and
working with large relational databases.
-Microsoft Excel, Visual Basic, and Microsoft Access development experience.
-Data parsing and experience with regular expressions is a plus!
-Ability to quickly learn new languages and tools in order to meet the
changing needs of our business as it grows.
Responsibilities:
Energy GPS LLC analyzes and dissects a vast amount of data. We turn
this data into useful information that helps our customers make
decisions related to energy trading, power plant and renewable energy
development, transmission flows, natural gas storage utilization, and
much more! As a software developer, you play a pivotal role in
transforming a number into usable information.
