Developer - Sococo (Eugene, San Jose, Iowa)

Role

Join the team building out our mission critical real-time communications infrastructure and client technology.
Our platform currently runs on Linux, Mac, Windows & iOS. The voice and video engine are based on the
internals of Google's WebRTC family of technologies. Work with some of the smartest people in the industry
on tough problems like dynamic topology management, audio & video signal processing, and horizontal scale.

We have offices in San Jose, Eugene, and Iowa City but remote work is in our DNA.
We have people in San Francisco, Oakland, Philadelphia, and Chicago to name a few.

Skills

Must Have

o Multi-platform (Linux, Mac, Windows, iOS) programming experience
o Experience with profiling and optimization
o Ability to do network & bandwidth usage analysis (wireshark, netmon, tcpdump, packet parsers etc)
o Fluent in C and C++

Should Have

o Experience with audio & video signal processing
o Good understanding of UDP-based streaming media protocols
o Good understanding of STUN, firewall traversal

Nice to Have

o Experience with mobile or embedded native media applications on 3G/4G networks
o Experience WebRTC family of technologies
o Good understanding of streaming media encryption schemes
o Experience embedding scripting systems such as Google V8, Python, or Lua
o Experience with SIP & RTP
