This employment opportunity is with the Office of Information Services (OIS), Shared Services (SS),
which is part of the Oregon Health Authority (OHA). There is one permanent, full-time position located
in Salem (500 Summer Street NE). This position is represented by a union.

This recruitment announcement will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates
to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.

 Duties & Responsibilities:

The SharePoint Web Designer supports and guides the Oregon Health Authority’s (OHA) Office of
Information Services (OIS) Web Team as it provides high quality expertise and leadership for both
Department of Human Services (DHS) and OHA in the areas of public facing and internal web sites.
The SharePoint Web Designer responds to help desk tickets from users, assists with new site projects,
and provides individual training support to content owners and publishers as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are those of a general office environment in a close-knit, team-oriented environment.
At times, weekend and evening work will be necessary to meet customer demands and department deadlines.
This position requires the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, sometimes within short time frames.
>From time to time, may require long hours with night and weekend work and occasional travel.

You must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. If not, you must be able to provide
an alternate method of transportation. All positions in OHA require a Criminal Background Check and
an Abuse/Neglect Check. Fingerprints may be required.

 Qualifications, Required & Requested Skills:

Two years of professional information systems experience which includes developing, maintaining, and installing
information systems, and analyzing systems.

Experience must include activities in:

o       Software includes both applications and operating software; AND
o       Hardware refers to the physical components (PCs, servers, mainframes, peripherals, etc.); AND
o       Communications provides the connections that link systems and includes data, voice, image and video; AND
0       Data is concerned with data bases and associated master files.

AND EITHER

(a) At least 30 quarter (20 semester) credits in computer science; OR
(b) Two more years of information systems experience.

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

At time of hire, the person in this position needs to possess the following skills and experience:

Highly desired:

o       SharePoint or other related web design experience.

Other desired experience:
o       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline is preferred.
o       Recent experience designing SharePoint 2010 Publishing (public facing) solutions
o       Ability to utilize team standard templates for SharePoint page layouts, designs and master pages.
o       Ability to utilize existing style sheets and HTML to foster page development.
o       Knowledge of W3 web accessibility and section 508 standards.
o       Experience with the Adobe Suite of tools.
o       Effective communications with business and technical staff.
o       Recent experience designing and maintaining dynamic web sites.
o       Knowledge of web information architecture and technical infrastructure.

Other Desired Skills/Experience:
o       Experience with the Joomla CMS.
o       Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and/or jQuery.
o       Site taxonomy, UX, and record storage.
o       The ability to identify web service/process needs and how to pursue solutions.
