Job Description:Duties:
  • Support the transition to a new website content management system.
  • Research, debug, fix, and document programming code problems.
  • Respond to faculty and staff requests for website updates.
  
Qualifications:Skills:
  • Advanced familiarity with ASP.NET C# and PHP (or similar programming/scripting languages)
  • Advanced familiarity with HTML and CSS (knowledge of HTML5/CSS3 and JavaScript a plus).
  • Ability to respond in a professional and timely manner to faculty and staff requests.
  • Familiarity with both Windows and Macintosh OS X operating systems
  • Experience with SQL
  • Drupal development experience (preferred)
  • Ability to pick up new technology quickly
  • Ability follow detailed written technical instructions
  • Strong interpersonal skills

UNM - Java Programmer

Programmer Wanted

Professor in search of assistance with making music theory applets in Java

The applets will eventually be published as part of a textbook. The
compensation is flexible—could include a by-line.

The project will involve making a basic applet, and then adding features to
it for various types of problems. The applets will quiz students on music
skills such as key signatures, intervals, and triads.

There will be three types of problems:
1. Identification—multiple-choice
2. Writing—dragging notes onto a staff
3. Aural—identification of sounds.

The intended timeline for the project is from the end of May to the end of
July. The ability to read music is not required. The professor has some
basic programming skills, so he will be able to communicate effectively
with the programmer.

help us design and build the product.

The project: We're building a platform to help farmers manage their
operations in a way that maximizes their crop yields while minimizing the
resources it takes to produce them.

Who we are: Our backgrounds are in engineering/computer science, math, and
politics and our careers have been focused on energy and agriculture. We're
passionate about resource efficiency and helping the world cope with
challenges of climate change. With data becoming widely available across
the agriculture sector, we believe that our product can make a big
difference for the small/medium scale farmers.

Who we're looking for:
Someone passionate about building products that have the capacity to change
the world
A talent for front-end web development with CSS, javascript, ruby and PHP
and a keen eye for UX

Some back-end experience with MySQL or other DB.

A background in agriculture is not required, but certainly an interest in
the topic would be helpful

A commitment of at least 10 weeks, full-time over the summer (start-end
dates flexible)
