Description:
We're three Stanford MBA/MS students working on a project we think has the potential to change the way the world grows and distributes food. We've secured some funding for the summer to work on our project (via the Lightspeed Summer Grant Program, one of the most reputable incubator programs in the country) and are looking for someone to join our team to help us design and build the product.

The project: We're building a platform to help farmers manage their operations in a way that maximizes their crop yields while minimizing the resources it takes to produce them.

Who we are: Our backgrounds are in engineering/computer science, math, and politics and our careers have been focused on energy and agriculture. We're passionate about resource efficiency and helping the world cope with challenges of climate change. With data becoming widely available across the agriculture sector, we believe that our product can make a big difference for the small/medium scale farmers.

Who we're looking for:
Someone passionate about building products that have the capacity to change the world
A talent for front-end web development with CSS, javascript, ruby and PHP and a keen eye for UX
Some back-end experience with MySQL or other DB.
A background in agriculture is not required, but certainly an interest in the topic would be helpful
A commitment of at least 10 weeks, full-time over the summer (start-end dates flexible)
What we can offer:
$8,000-$10,000
A spot in the Lightspeed Incubator Program, with hands-on mentorship from one of the firm's managing partners, a shared workspace with other entrepreneurs, and a bunch of guest speakers/events (every Monday)
