Novellus - Software Engineer

We are looking for bright, motivated candidates to help us plan, design,
develop and test software systems or applications for software enhancements
used to control devices.  This is a terrific opportunity for candidates
seeking a position that involves a lot of cross functional interaction. The
Software Engineer generates requirements by working with Hardware,
Electrical and Process Engineers as well as other groups.  Develop software
following company software development guide.  Will work on ClearCase, SVN
and ClearQuest for source control and issue tracking respectively. Novellus
Software Engineers are involved with all of the development, build
management and testing tools.


Requirements:

Knowledge of C/C++, java, java script, java swing, Open source coding and
Linux

Knowledge of Ethernet dive com. and RS 232 com

Understand object oriented programming

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (written and verbal).  Use of
wiki page for documentation.

Ability to analyze and discuss engineering benefits/tradeoffs of projects
and design trade-offs


Education:

The ideal candidate will have a Masters degree in Computer Engineering,
Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. Outstanding students with a
Bachelor degree may be considered. The job duties of this particular
position are not well aligned for a PhD or post-doc.


New College Graduate program eligibility requirements:

This position is a part of our New College Graduate program. This is a
specific program designed to attract and hire students who recently
graduated or plan on graduating in the near future. Eligibility for
consideration in the New College Graduate program requires applicants to
have graduated within the past 12 months or who will have graduated by the
time the position starts.
