DESCRIPTION

Dow AgroSciences seeks a summer intern pursuing a Masters or Ph.D. in computational biology, computer science, bioinformatics, engineering or a closely related field. The successful candidate will work closely with scientists from the R&D Data Analysis group. Key job responsibilities will the implementation and deployment of a data manipulation, mining and visualization tool to support scientists’ ability to address key biological questions.
Expert computer programming and implementation skills are required. Experience with deploying computational tools as well as working with large biological datasets and bioinformatics tools such as Cytoscape is highly desirable. Strong communication skills are essential.
Applications will be accepted until suitable candidates are found. No applications will be accepted after February 20, 2012. The position is located in Indianapolis, IN, USA.
