Creative Web Designer (Downtown Eugene)

We are looking for a great Web Designer to join our talented, crazy-cool development team. As an ideal candidate, you are passionate about innovative visual design and great user experience. You have a strong design aesthetic and understand the intricacies of desktop, tablet and mobile design.

Bring your talents in:

-Creative design
-Data visualization
-Wireframes, visual elements
-Interactive designs, icons, colors, text, etc.
-Responsive design
-User interactions

Your creativity is valued as you work closely with stakeholders and team members to brainstorm and design user experience and application functionality.

Located in downtown Eugene, Oregon, Emberex offers an easy going atmosphere, flexible schedule, and a unique opportunity to stamp your designs onto the development of a cool, new product that will launch later this year. This is a full-time, in-house position where collaboration is dynamic; design is out-of-the-box, and the user is king. Qualifications:

-3+ years designing interactive online experiences
-UI/UX design, graphic design
-Ability to translate project specifications into graphic design concepts
-Experience working in a collaborative team environment
-Proven ability to work autonomously and on schedule
-Exceptional written and oral communication skills

Required experience:

-HTML5 / CSS3
-Responsive Web Design
-Illustrator/Photoshop
-Creating mockups/wireframes, as well as developer-ready designs


Knowledge of the following is not required, but would be awesome:

-Dynamic CSS (SASS or LESS)
-Visual design for mobile devices
-jQuery
-Javascript
-Familiarity with the Git framework
