The Role:

Energy GPS LLC is seeking a Junior Software Developer with multiple
programming languages and relational database experience. You will help our
team with data warehousing, data transformation, and developing models and
reports for our end-users. We seek an individual who is highly motivated to
learn new products and languages, work with multiple development platforms,
and able to thrive in a dynamic work environment where you juggle multiple
projects under tight deadlines.

Targeted Core Competencies:

Experience with the following:
-Proficient reading and understanding code. Prefer knowledge of
Microsoft.NET platform which includes C#, VB.NET, Linq, ASP.NET, ASP.NET
MVC, and WCF.
-Database development experience (Microsoft SQL Server / Oracle) and
working with large relational databases.
-Microsoft Excel, Visual Basic, and Microsoft Access development experience.
-Data parsing and experience with regular expressions is a plus!
-Ability to quickly learn new languages and tools in order to meet the
changing needs of our business as it grows.

Responsibilities:

Energy GPS LLC analyzes and dissects a vast amount of data. We turn this
data into useful information that helps our customers make decisions
related to energy trading, power plant and renewable energy development,
transmission flows, natural gas storage utilization, and much more! As a
software developer, you play a pivotal role in transforming a number into
usable information.

At Energy GPS you will be engaged in a wide array of development cycles and
projects. You will help our team with data warehousing, data
transformation, and developing models and reports for our end-users. As
such we require an individual who is highly motivated to learn new products
and languages, familiarize yourself with different development platforms,
and work in a dynamic environment where you juggle many different products
and projects.

Soft Skills:

-Great communications skills (both written and oral), including the ability
to discuss technical issues patiently and comfortably with Users at all
levels.
-Organized, self-disciplined and detailed oriented. Demonstrated results in
delivering high quality output in a highly agile environment with minimum
supervision.
-Collaborative, team-player approach. Ability to work effectively
individually or with group.

Education and Compensation:

-Computer Science, Engineering, or Hard Science Degree or related discipline
-Compensation depends upon applicable experience
