Job Description
Overview of team, group and/or company, project and/or daily
responsibilities
Volt Technical Resources has multiple openings for Test Technicians with
a growing company. Our client is a multinational computer technology
corporation that specializes in the development of database management
systems. These are entry level positions, perfect for candidates who
have a 4 year college degree and are interested in moving into Test
Engineering or candidates with experience who are interested in growing
into a Lead or Training position.
Major Duties and Tasks:
. Start and complete tests following manufacturing processes
. Manage multiple systems under test
. Provide manufacturing technician representation in meetings,
provide input as needed
. Support and implement NPI's
Important Information:
. Employees work multiple shifts including day and swing. There
will soon be a graveyard shift as well. A shift differential is
offered
. We are seeking candidates who are Career Minded- who are
looking to join a company, learn, and grow with a company to become a
lead, expert, or trainer
Required Skills and Education
Must have to be considered
. 4 Year degree is preferred (open to 2 year degrees)
. Ability to read UNIX, Solaris specifically (or Linux or MS
DOS)
. Understand a directory structure
. Ability to run commands and troubleshoot in Windows
. Comfort with command lines- entering commands and
troubleshooting commands
. Comfortable working alone and in groups. Must be able to ask
questions and be open to learning
