Kronos - Software Engineer

Join Kronos' Cross Suite Engineering team as a Software Engineer in the
Clinical Services Group. In this position you will participate in all
phases of the software development lifecycle, working independently and as
part of a team implementing and maintaining a variety of key cross suite
components critical to the Kronos WFC product set.   You'll be required to
design, implement and unit test complex application features and
infrastructure components.  You will be building and industry-leading
application on the Windows platform, using primarily Javascript and C#.

You will be mentored by experienced engineers who want to see you progress
rapidly in your skills and career.

Requirements:
. Completed/completing BS in Computer Science or equivalent, with a strong
emphasis on programming and software design.
. At least 1 year of coursework or experience in Java and/or C#.
. Currently in last term/semester or graduated within the last 6 months.
. 3.0 GPA or higher
. Excellent problem solving and oral communication skills.
. Ability to work both independently and in teams.
. This is an entry level position.

The ideal candidate will posses experience in one or more of the following
areas:   creation of automated tests and/or test driven development,
web-based applications development, building real-world software in a team
environment.

Job Description/ Requirements

We are currently looking for a passionate and self-motivated
technically-focused team member to design, implement, and maintain a
student information database. The candidate will be responsible for
integrating the database with a secure, responsive, web-based user
interface where students and parents log-on to enter payment information,
medical history, and other sensitive enrollment information. The Web & Data
Manager reports directly to the Communications Director. 


Required Work Experience

. Minimum two years experience as a database developer or administrator

. Minimum one year web-based experience

. Strong demonstrated programming experience in SQL Extensive technical
knowledge and experience in database management techniques including
physical database optimization, data distribution, security, and database
performance monitoring

. Extremely detail-oriented 

. Motivated to initiate and lead projects 

. Excellent oral and written communication skills 

. Demonstrated ability to develop web applications within set brand
guidelines

. Experience with web based technologies, explicitly server database
implementation

. Experience with Salesforce a plus

. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to
support office-wide initiatives a plus, but not required

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems,
related field, or equivalent work experience.

Contract Length

Required start date is late August or early September, although an earlier
start date is preferred. Contract length is 15 months full-time (40
hours/week), with a possible extension as agreed after 12 months.
Relocation to Tres Ríos, Costa Rica is required.
