The Technology Risk ("TR") service area is comprised of professionals with a broad range of information technology and management consulting skills in the areas of Risk and Compliance, Security and Privacy, and Capital Markets. The Deloitte & Touche Summer Internship provides an introduction to Enterprise Risk Services.  Throughout the program, participants will focus on issues shaping and affecting the profession today as well as topics related to their own career development. Counseling is another aspect of the Internship Program.  At the end of each engagement, interns will have the opportunity to review their performance with management.  Additionally, staff will serve as "mentors" to this year's intern group.  Mentors serve as a vital source of information and advice as well as participating in many of the social activities planned for the interns throughout the summer months.

QUALIFICATIONS: open to CIS juniors and seniors (graduating DEC 2012-AUG 2014) with at least a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Unnamed Startup - Contract HTML (Eugene, OR)

Oregon startup is seeking a part-time, contract HTML production person. We
are a team of brand experts, designers, marketers, and developers working
to create The Next Big Thing.

Although our headquarters are in Portland, our lead engineer is based in
Eugene and ideally you would live in Eugene as well. You should be able to
work remotely and independently - and be available to collaborate
periodically in person locally in Eugene.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrable experience slicing PSDs to HTML
Demonstrable experience hand coding HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Experience with AJAX, JSON, JQuery.
Browser testing in IE, FireFox, Safari, Chrome, etc.
Ability to troubleshoot multi-browser compatibility issues.
Experience handing off HTML to backend developers for the purpose of
creating data-driven applications.
Experience with GitHub Repository

CheckMeOnce - Web Developer (Eugene, OR)

My name is Eric Harvey and I am currently a student the U of O Law school. I
am also one of the co-founders of CheckMeOnce.com. We won the Eugene Startup
Weekend and we are looking to bring our website live by March 1st.

What we need right now is a developer who is skilled with HTML and PHP.  We
have most of the front end design work already done. What we need is someone
who can help us wrap up what we have to quickly produce a demonstrable model
of the website.

Local Web Programmer (Eugene,OR)

We are in need of help in running our server and website as we no
longer have our programmer.  Do you know a student in the computer
science department who would be interested in working for us in the
solar monitoring lab, maybe 10 hours a week, help maintain our server
and website? There would also be other computer related tasks.

The rate would be $10/hour, so it might be best for an undergrad.

Palo Alto Software is looking for a Quality Assurance Intern to join our product development team, working on our popular LivePlan business planning service. This position is located at our company headquarters in Eugene, Oregon.
To succeed in this role, you will need strong communication skills, experience in either development, planning, or research, and a desire to learn.  The position provides the opportunity to not only learn and use a variety of testing techniques, but also see how a product feature goes from concept to deployment. 
A strong applicant will have all of the following:
Ability to creatively look at a problem
Excellent written communication skills
Strong troubleshooting skills
Effective interpersonal skills and a proven ability to collaborate
Coursework toward a degree in Computer Science or other related experience
Ability to work independently and seek new information
Available at least 12 hrs per week

Capabilities in these areas are a big plus:

Experience in automated testing with Selenium 2 or WebDriver
Proficiency in SQL and executing back-end database validations
