TO QUALIFY YOU MUST HAVE:

... basic foundation of knowledge and skills in technology and information systems as generally obtained through an associate's degree in information systems, graphic design, digital arts, or related fields, or similar certified course work in applicable fields of study or at least one year of related work experience.

Required qualifications:

* Exceptional creative design skills.
* Demonstrable experience developing effective website designs and consistent branding for websites.
* Demonstrated ability to assess client needs and guide creative process to design effective websites.
* Experience working in professional website design, layout, marketing, or similar environment.
* Experience in testing for and assuring optimal web user experience, including knowledge of 508 compliant web design standards.
* Demonstrable experience creating website designs for modern content management systems.
* Proficiency with Adobe CS.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

* Attention to detail.

Preferred qualifications:

* Knowledge of online coding languages such as XHTML, HTML 5, CSS and Javascript.
* Experience with DotNetNuke content management system.
* Experience with browser compatibility issues, testing, and solutions.
* Experience with 508 inclusive accessible website design guidelines.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position designs and assists with implementation of graphics and end user interfaces for web-based applications, systems, websites, and other projects for various Division of Student Affairs departments. Duties include:
... analyzing site and departmental needs, determining design and interface solutions to meeting those needs, and developing the optimal site design for meeting goals to attract and retain target audiences.
... assisting departmental clients by developing website and communication goals and strategies using tools like analytics, user feedback, and other data; assisting departmental clients in creating a unified branding strategy for their website that supports their departmental mission statement and strategic goals and creates site-wide cohesiveness and consistency, while conforming to UO and Student Affairs branding requirements.
... attending meetings and advising departments on best practices in web design and communication; designing and creating website and application designs, based on departmental client goals and branding strategies while complying with 508 accessibility web standards; developing detailed design specifications and documentation and review them with the departmental clients to ensure the design meets requirements.
... implemening website designs through the creation of themes/skins for content management systems; working closely with Student Affairs web developers to implement features into website designs; creating and preparing illustrations or graphics for publication on various websites.

We are looking for a marketing intern to help with the marketing of the fall launch of the Earl iPhone application. 

Profile sought:  Familiarity with social marketing, experience and/or strong interest in mobile App business, organizationally disciplined and comfort working with minimal supervision

Responsibilities:  Identify channels that address the target market and key individuals/entities in those channels that can support our marketing effort
  Help to draft, edit press releases, information and data for these key individuals
                                   Send press releases, information and data to these key individuals
                                   Track information in social media about our Earl application and success of our media campaign
  Aid in the generation of a script  for responses to questions about Earl
  Help to manage the post-launch Earl application social marketing effort.

UTi - GOP Data Specialist (Portland, OR)

SUMMARY

We are looking to recruit a GOP Data Specialist to be part of the
Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO). The GOP Data Specialist will
primarily be responsible for assisting in the 1World deployment project.
Working under the direction of the EPMO Global Director this role is part
of the team responsible for the delivery of the Transformation initiatives
at UTi.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical duties and responsibilities:

. EPMO team ensures program-wide visibility on key milestones, risks,
issues, decisions and status through maintenance of collaboration sites and
other communication vehicles.
. This individual will be assigned to our Deployment effort.  We are
currently developing a custom freight forwarding system that will interface
to our global systems.  In this effort, we need to convert data from our
legacy systems into the new system.
. Specifically, this role would be involved in the legacy data collection
process.  The role would require understanding of how to analyze data and
ensure a model is created to support the data collection process, and
ultimately the loading of the data into the new system.
. This role would work closely with the Deployment Project Coordinators,
Data Stewards, Finance, Global Operating Process (GOP) Managers, and
Country Teams.
. Requires extensive experience using Microsoft Excel as well as an
understanding of business modelling and how this can be translated into an
Excel spreadsheet. This role requires more than number crunching; the GOP
Data Specialist should have an understanding of how to analyse data.
. The primary role of the GOP Data Specialist will be data gathering and
cleansing. However, the GOP Data Specialist should be able to perform the
below duties and responsibilities:
. Leading discussions on what needs to be accomplished to better data
quality.
. Communicating to team members issues and escalating issues when
necessary.
. Participate in project meetings, document issues, action items and
deliverables.
. Ensure visibility on key milestones, risks, issues, decisions and status
of data gathering and clean-up activities.
. The data collection effort consists of 7 key steps for the project
coordinator:
. Collect country specific data from system currently used
. Populate data into template to be vetted by Country Teams / GOPs
. Host Kick Off call to explain to country teams / GOPs what is needed
. Cleanse and validate data quality when template is returned from country
teams
. Transform data into Data File Definition (DFD) template
. Load to testing environments
. Obtain approval on data quality
. Coordinate with Manila Shared Services for additional manual input needed

We are looking for an intern Database Specialist, who could be trained by our Database Coordinator on in the ins and outs of Salescforce.com which is a cloud computing database that tracks business leads and clients.

The Database Specialist Intern will assist the Database Coordinator with various tasks related to our database. eg; data entry, clean-up projects including the merging and recreation of data, create reports, and database customization. Explore other potentials of Salesforce and how we can make the database more efficient and work better for us.

Ideally this would be a multi-term internship which would be unpaid approximately 10-12 hours per week. However I am flexible to the time frame of the internship, if the right student came along and could only commit to one term that would be fine as well.
